Here at Infruition, we are lucky enough to be official partners of numerous events, some big, some small - but all with a common purpose: to learn something new & create conversations.
We've now partnered up with TEDx Covent Garden Women - an independent arm of TEDx devoted to presenting #ideasworthsharing. Their most recent event titled "It's About Time' took place earlier this month, with various speakers giving insight into 4 core traits of the human condition. Namely, movement, creativity, generosity & communication. Below are some of key headlines:
1) LEAD DIFFERENTLY
Farah Storr's - the Editor of Cosmopolitan - honest account of not being afraid to be yourself and allowing others to do the same can still spell professional success was incredibly inspiring.spoke about effective leadership in the work place.
2) BE AWARE OF UNCONSCIOUS BIAS
Leigh Caldwell's - Author of The Psychology of Price - thought provoking talk around bias & privileges really captivated the crowd.
Becky Mcowen-Banks is a key proponent for industry change, spearheading many initiatives such as the pilot of The Girlhood programme within FCB Inferno as a new path for recruiting creative talent. She stressed that in order to change the gender balance in the creative industry, women first need to see its an option in the first place.
5) DON'T LET YOUR JOB LIMIT WHAT YOU CAN DO
Rachel Arthur is an awarding winning business journalist specialising in fashion & technology. We love how she brought them together with one simple fact!
In a nutshell, whilst we are fruity about fruits & wild about water (and infusing these together), Infruition are always happy to support ideas worth sharing. In this case, we catered for the event with plenty of fruit infused water on tap, after all, we know just as well that staying hydrated helps with concentration.
